U2: Three Chords and the Truth

Best of U2 1990-2000 Bonus DVD

Best of 1990-2000 bonus DVD Track List : The History Mix, U2 The Best of 1990-2000 DVD Trailer, Please - Live Mural Cut, Beautiful Day (Eze version)

Copies of the Best of U2 1990-2000 bought in the first week of release came with a free bonus DVD containing the four tracks listed above. All four were produced by the Dreamchaser team of Ned O'Hanlon and Maurice Linnane. Dreamchaser had already been responsible for producing videos for U2 songs such as One, Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me, The Fly and the Passengers song, 'Miss Sarajevo'. They had also been involved in making several full length features such as the Grammy award winning Zoo TV Live From Sydney and A Year In Pop. Brian McCue edited all of the tracks except for the trailer for the full Best Of DVD which was edited by Jim Duggan.

The History Mix is a visually stunning collage of U2 in the 1990s containing a mish-mash of footage from videos, interviews and live appearances throughout that decade. The version of Please featured on the disc was filmed in Helsinki, Finland on 9th August 1997 during the Popmart tour and is similar to the version from Rotterdam on the Popheart EP. Finally, the Beautiful Day video on this disc is different from the one which was filmed at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris and which usually accompanies the song. This Eze version was recorded in Nice in the south of France near the town where Edge married Morleigh in June 2001. It originally featured on the Sunday Times CD which was given away to readers of that newspaper on 3rd June 2001.
